I would say maybe as a middle name, but I agree with those that say it sounds like cutter or i thought cutlet when I first saw it, not very good imagery. What about Colton? Cullen?

i got to agree with the guy who said " when he's older (like 20+) it'll be fine, but up until then you must want him to get beat up a lot...."
If its a family name i can see it, its cool that its unusual, but you may want to use it as a middle name. or give him a name he can "fall back on" as a middle name.
Honestly i dont like it too much. If i met a kid name Cutler, id be like "cool name" but sounds wierd when you think about it.

why dont you just name the poor child "kick-me-till I cry"....because if you saddle that sweet baby with the name Cutler, thats what the bullies in school will be doing to him

If you like it, go for it. But I know it's a last name (which doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't make a good first name) and it's also close to "Cutter" which has some pretty bad negative connotations.

Are you trying to be a WASP? Do you have dreams of sending your boy to Harvard, Yale, Princeton? Then go for it. Otherwise, it's hideous, pretentious, awful, gross even. What's the nickname - Cut? Ler? Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Are you a Broncos Fan? Depends on the last name. You have to hear the whole name to see how it flows. These days anything goes, so if you and your partner like it that's all that matters.

Maybe as a middle name, but it reminds me too much of the word "cutlet."

go ahead if that's the name you like, but give him a nickname (like Steve or something so other kids won't pick on him) : /
