Well, I can't see what your cozay forum has to do with this question, but here goes.
First off, the the first answerer who said 'by faith'. Please don't answer questions of this nature anymore. Most people who are on the fence don't think that 'faith' is an adequate answer for anything. And really, God doesn't expect us to blindly follow Him and believe in Him, He has given us plenty of evidence for His existence. Part of the problem lies in that people would really rather go their own way, and try to get through life on their own. The other part of the problem is that we have many who would spread lies about the function of the universe and evidence for God, and work so hard to accomplish the first problem, that they never really open their minds and see.

So, we'll start with point one. If God exists, He is a part of this universe. If God does exist, then the existence of the universe would not be possible without Him, therefore he would be a part of it.

If you want to argue that God created the universe, then abandoned it, go ahead. But I don't think it's a very good explanation for the existence and state of the universe today. It simply isn't logical that a God would go about creating an entire universe in intimate detail, with all kinds of incredible giant and infinitisimal machines like stars, and cells, and atoms and then just say "OK guys, go to town".

How do we know God exists?

Let's discuss evidence. Science isn't about having definitive 'proof' for anything. Science uses evidence, and Okham's (sic? sorry!) Razor. A true scientist takes the evidence he is given, looks around for related causes, comes up with a few explanations, and then trusts that the least complicated answer (and this next part is important) that explains all the evidence, is the correct one.

Many so-called scientists automatically look around the universe, or whatever part of it they are interested in, and immediately dismiss the possiblity of God. Why? Reasons vary, but it all boils down to this; they don't want to believe in God.

This is a complete unscientific approach. A scientist MUST be willing to accept ANY explanation that covers all the evidence most simply.

I could write for days on reasons why and evidence for the existence of God. But several people have already done that. The easiest book for me to read was "The Case for a Creator".

Well, its hard to imagine and to think that God is real if you haven't seen him, but what if you was born into a black box, with no family or no nothing, just stayed in a blank void for ten years, until someone or something told you about the Earth and life and family and stuff, you wouldn't believe it because youd be used to the blank space of nothing, but then if you experienced the Earth and stuff, you would beleive in it, like people experience the holy spirit.

Besides, why do people think the idea of God a bad idea? Theres nothing too complicated about a higher being that cares for us and created everything around us. If God didn't create the universe who did? Gases? Id prefer to think God
Hope you could understand that lol

Obviously we can never be sure if god exists, but I believe that we shouldn't assume something exists when there isn't any proof in favour of its existence.
So although there's no way of telling definitely if god exists or not, we should, until some sort of evidence is found to proove the contrary, not believe in a god.

God, for me is the creator of this universe and many many more yet unexplored. Those who don't believe that can put forward their own plausible theory regarding its origin....

Now, how do you convince an orphan his parents did exist even when there are no traces of them. He is, so his parents were! Likewise, the presence of this universe is the proof of its maker. Simple logic....

This Universe is only an outer reflection of the ONE who contains ALL Universes!

If there were any gods, we would know it. There are only illogical arguments to try to support the existence of various gods, and that alone shows none really exist. If there were valid arguments, believers would have given them to us long ago, instead of the nonsense they utter.

The same way that we know the wind blows; we can feel and see the effects of the wind without seeing the wind itself.

You can't know that he exists. The existence of God is based on faith. Faith, by definition, designates blind acceptance in the absence of evidence or proof -- or even in spite of it.

How do you know air exists? How can you know that germs exist, without a microscope? You can't....There are some things, my friend, that we must accept on faith.

No, He created this universe.
We know He exhists because if He didn`t, this world would be far worse than it is.
And soon it will be.
