I'm just wondering because the whole "videogate" thing happened in the first half of the first period of the first game of the season and ALOT of people seem to be under the impression that is the reason they are still perfect on the season. I mean... is Bill Belichick a psychic... and does he have magical powers that turned those confiscated "stolen signals" from the Jets into signals from the other teams the Patriots have faced so far? I just don't get it... I know a lot of people tell me to just ignore it because all it is is people be ignorant, but I can't. How can you believe what happened then has any bearing on this season. I'll tell you what though... the Patriots ARE still stealing signals because they have this guy called an assistant coach who stands on the sidelines and takes notes on the opposing teams playcalling. They also have a camera man who sits in any other part of the stadium except the sideline taping things... even playcalling, because they can zoom.

Funny thing about these two practices... perfectly LEGAL. When you combine the information you get from what these two people get... you have MORE then what you get from just having somebody tape on the sideline... which is ILLEGAL. The Patriots were only getting information they are allowed to get one way, but weren't this way... they are allowed to get that information and use it... just not the way they did... so I would go as far to say it is NOT cheating because in the long run... it's info you are allowed. DUH!

Yes, many of the haters are one step above retardation. Most likely their team sucks so they feel the need to pass their pain on to others. You are correct about the stealing of signals but all teams do this, it's part of the game now. I grow tired of the haters, Hate all you want, it just makes the Empire stronger.

why am I against the patriots? There's no denying they have a good TEAM. but there's always so much focus on "ooh, tom brady's the best quarterback in the league"...did anyone see his performance at the superbowl? He's not that good without a good o-line, just like every quarterback in the league. If every quarterback had as much time to stand in the pocket as Brady has, don't you think they'd all be just as good? I'm not saying he sucks, I'm just saying that the offensive line deserves some credit. But that can go the other way too - people can give Brady a hard time about being sacked 5 times in the superbowl, but really, who's fault is that?! It's not 1 player that makes the team. It's not Tom Brady. It's not Randy Moss. It's not Mike Vrabel. It's not Wes Welker. It's everyone. I think that was really shown in the superbowl. They just couldn't get it done as a team. Brady and Moss didn't seem to be clicking. And the offensive line wasn't getting it done so therefore Brady got taken down. The Pats have a great team, you can't disagree with that.

They are just looking for any excuse for the Patriots 9 wins that isn't that they are just that good.
People don't want to just accept that their team lost to a great team so they say they must have cheated. Being a Pats fan I think I would be happier knowing they won to a team that was actually good than a team that was awful, but maybe that's just me.
People will keep saying they are cheating because they simply don't want to live with the fact that their team isn't anywhere near as good as the Pats.

I am sure I will get lots of thumbs down for that but i really don't care.

There are many reasons people hate the Pats.

The Pats represent America, and many people just hate america, everything is america's fault. These people are called liberals and democrats.

The Pats head coach isn't black, and his kid didn't kill himself. He isn't a real personable guy who sucks up to reporters.

The Pats not only win, they make it look easy. This makes other teams hate them. If they had to struggle, like they did in the colts game, people don't mind getting beat.

People hate the pats because the pats are so good, so they trash talk them. But, all it does is motivate the pats, and thats why they're steamrolling the rest of the NFL.

Go Pats!

pull your head out of the sand for just 30 seconds...

the patriots didn't just video "one half" on the first game this season. it has been going on FOR YEARS. the league asked for all of their tapes, why would the league know to ask for "all their tapes" if it was just one half? how many tapes does it take to tape 30 minutes of football?

the patriots don't have an "assistant coach" standing on the sidelines. they have someone named Ernie Adams who is NOT a coach at all, he has one role and that is running information for Bill Bellichick. He's been in Bill's life since what... high school? they likely looked off each others tests in Civics.

why is "videogate" important on this season? this is momentum their organization has built up since 2000. would randy moss want to come there and take a pay cut if they weren't three time superbowl champs? nah... would any of those other folks stay for lesser pay? nope. three superbowl appearances, three superbowl wins by three points per game. i say that intercepting signals and being able to instantly check off to the correct defensive alignment based on insider information IS enough to win a single game by three points.... after all, they've won three of them that way.

bellichick was a buffoon to send out the spy squad in the jets game, but what the hey, he's a paranoid guy. right now you look at the team and can clearly say "wth do they need to cheat for"... exactly, it was their history that got them this string of personnel.

Probably because you keep bringing it up. Then you come on here and post questions like "why won't everyone stop talking about the Patriots?" when 95% of your questions are about them.

I think you get off on the attention you bring to yourself while pretending that people are just being mean to you. Get over yourself and quit crying.

First of all I think everyone does it in some way; the Pats just got caught. The thing people are forgetting is that you have to execute. Players have to catch passes, make blocks and tackles. You can have all the information in the world if you dont make plays you wont win. The Pats make plays so they win.

They're trying to stop the unstoppable force that is the Pats and are just frustrated cause their teams are getting stomped...They should take heart though...No one has stopped the Pats...and no one will...And the reason is, they are pissed off...I've said it before and I'll say it again...You don't piss off the Hooded One and get away with it...

Simply put the Patriots were caught in the biggest cheating scandal in the history of professional football. They cannot be trusted to play by the rules, the fact the NFL did not suspend the entire team for the season is beyond me.

They're grasping at straws.. they have to place the blame elsewhere, otherwise, they'll have to admit, that their teams just can't measure up to the high standards of the Patriots.
