I have just gotten a Wii and need to set up the wireless router from my computer. The problem is my computer is not the computer who runs the modem and ethernet router. Is their a way I could set up my wireless router from my computer?

Well, A router does not use a "HOST" computer. It is a stand alone network device and there is no HOST for it!
So if you are authorized you can change it from ANY machine connected to it.

Most routers have a web interface at one of the following addresses.. just type them into your web browser to connect
http://192.168.0.1
http://192.168.1.1
http://192.168.1.254
http://192.168.10.1

If you tell us the BRAND and Model of the router we can help.. without that you need to READ THE MANUAL which came with the router!

even wireless router needs a cable when you connect it to your pc and another pc it will automatically detect an connection even not installing the software. like dlink DI-524 very easy to use.
