I find child modeling to be unfair to children. Every parent knows their child is beautiful and deserves to be in print... but, they deserve more to be playing and having fun. Not sitting in front of a camera. That's just my opinion tho.

Personally, I think acting and modeling are very bad for young kids. I think your daughter was right, kids deserve to be kids, to have time to play and stuff. It's bad enough with school hours getting longer... plus when a kid is in modeling they can start taking themselves very seriously. They are more likely to be hard on themselves, develop an eating disorder, or not fit in at school. But that's just my opinion and I'll admit, I don't have kids. It's really up to you and your judgement.

My niece and nephew were into modeling when they were young. From Six Flags commercials to Sear catalogs they did it all for seven years. They are now 19 and 23 going to college driving their new sports cars on the money they made when they modeled. As soon as they got bored with it, their mother let them stop.

Let kids be kids. They will have plenty of years to work later in life.

And at 21 months, your the one deciding what your kids does, not the kid.
