BT are cancelling my landline account today. It is already on restriction so no one can call me and I can't call out but my AOL broadband is still working.

Will it continue to work after the landline account is ceased?

If not, is there another landline service provider I can sign up with?

My broadband is AOL silver? and plugs into the phone socket. The socket is a BT one and they are cancelling the account today. I need to know if the broadband will work with just the socket or if it needs a service provider?

Thanks.

your broadband will still work for five working days after the line is terminated, as it takes five working days to cease of the line, you wont be able to get another land line provider if the line has been stop as other telephone providers need a working line to be able to take it over, you maybe able to go with cable if you live in the right area

Yes, broadband will still work, if it's Cable, not DSL.

Nobody NEEDS a landline anymore, try Skype, from:

The sound quality is excellent.

You will get a new router with Talk Talk, you can access you AOL webmail on line with any service provider, and you would need to contact AOL as they need to issue you your PID for your new service providers. After all that stay away from Talk talk. Support useless, manners useless personality useless. Check the broad band forums I don't stand alone here and I am being polite Disruption to your broadand .. YES massive.
