....when there's a huge baby bump in the way and you can't see what you're doing?
***This question is only for those who do***
I'm afraid I'm going to cut myself.
My husband did it for me during our 1st pregnancy but I just feel very uncomfortable w/ him doing it this time for some reason.

I'm 25 weeks pregnant and this has just recently started becoming a problem. However, I know it's going to get worse.

Okay... to those of you wondering why I don't feel comfortable having my husband do it...... a few weeks ago, during an argument, he called me fat. Soooo, every since then I don't feel comfortable being naked around him.

I recently bought one of the razors that have the built in shaving bar around it for this reason. They are a little more expensive, but worth it. when using them, you don't have to worry about not having enough shaving gel in a certain spot and accidentally going over it one too many times, causing a burn or a cut. They also work wonderfully for your legs, which are also hard for me to get to!!
My husbands knows how I feel about pubic hair and is willing to help me, but it makes me feel so uncomfortable to lay there while he shaves me. lol

I was always uncomfortable with my husband doing it too! So I would do it myself, but it's time consuming. I would lay back in the tub as far as I could then use one hand to kind of feel where I was and the other to shave. It took a while to get done, but I just wasn't comfortable having someone else do it. I did knick myself a couple of times, but nothing serious. I tried the whole mirror down there thing, it was just akward & uncomfortable plus difficult to do every move backwards. When I went to deliver the nurse asked who gave me my "hair cut" and she was surprised I did it myself!

Well to begin with... that is a typical man to mention your weight in an arguement. If he doesn't remember... let him know he has alot to do with that little bun in your oven being there. Good Luck on the pregnancy, I hope everything works out great for you. Last but not least, I used my hubby's clippers to do maintanence while I was pregnant. After you have the baby you can go back to your normal style. It was just easier that way, I tried not to worry about making it perfect, after all... no one was going to be down there for a few more weeks.

Very very carefully. I didn't shave all the way down, I just used my husband's clippers to trim it nice and short. I couldn't really see so it did it oh so slowly by touch. You could always take a pair of scissors and just trim it really short if you're worried about cutting yourself with the razor.

I used a mirror and didnt shave all the way, I used clippers and just did a nice trim. I didnt want to be "bald" at the doctors checks or the hospital that would make me uncomfortable!

If you can get your hands on an electric shaver (like a beard trimmer) I reccommend that. Less of a chance of getting cut. It won't shave as close, but leaves it neat enough to get the job done for now.
Congrats on the baby!!

if your husband shaved you the first time you needed it shaved why are you afraid for him to shave you now? did you get a tattoo and don't want him to see.. LOL
get an electric razor or beard shaver and got to town.
put a mirror where you can see yourself and work on yourself. or let your hubby or somoene else shave it.

I use my husband's beard trimmer. I still can't see, but it's less of a risk of getting cut. Also, do it in front of a mirror. Of course you'll have to put a towel or something on floor for easy clean up.

As with the other moms I just shaved real carefully until I couldn't see anything including my feet. I just let my husband do it for me. Of course he didn't mind.
