My work environment is the worst environment i have ever worked in, I am supporting people with learning difficulties. Man, the staff ae something else, they backstab each other and will do anything to ruin you at work. The worse of all the managers and directors are the one who encourage hatred and anger among bottom staffs. Very depressing environment indeed. No respect or dignity or whatsoever. When i am home i feel good because i am away from negativity, i don't gossip and it is so sad to see others bringing you in.
Good thing, the gossip is not on clients, they are the only good people there.
Working for small Asian company is one thing i want to leave behind, coz iam tired of bitching.

Both. Usually the gossip at home has more dignity. It is more on the positive side then the gossip at work.

Family gossip is sometimes done out of love. The gossip at work is usually done because people have generally nothing to talk about at work except a mutual coworker. It can be done viciously because people like to talk about your work when you arent around, which is like backstabbing. I usually witness two people who are friends later gossip about the other with other coworkers! Most of the time, I walk away from it. I want no part of that crap.

I work alone so no gossip exists. Now my family is a whole new ballgame. Some don't have very interesting lives so they have to watch and discuss the lives of others for amusement. It's totally sad.
