If you don't have a washing machine or enough money to hire a maid the next best option is to take them to the nearest laundrymat... A place that has machines that WASH & DRY clothing.. There you PAY a few dollars and wash/dry your clothing.. It's quite a marvel and if you get there early you can wash & dry multiple loads to save time...! If you have enough money some laundrymats have a wash/dry and fold service where you pay per lb. of laundry and someone else will do it for you...! You will have to bring your own detergent & dryer sheets and laundry baskets or bags.... Also, bring plenty of quarters ! If you want to hand wash your clothing. You may want the following... A tension rod to hang ABOVE you bathtub to drip dry hanging clothing, A clothes horse to dry clothing a small fan or open window to circulate air to dry clothing faster.... You can "handwash" clothing in your bathtub.. Just fill the tub and put about 1/2 cup of detergent into the water.... Swirl the clothing around for about 10 minutes with your hands or feet... Check garments for stains... If you have socks and underwear.... SOAK in HOT water and then agitate.... Let out dirty water and fill tub with clean cool water and repeat process.... Wring clothing without stretching or roll in absorbent towel to get out extra water and hang or lay flat to dry... Good luck

I know that Target sells different types of natural products for cleaning. The old standby is probably Woolite or just plain baking soda. But your clothes won't smell too good.

Use dishsoap but it has to be the gentle stuff like Dove. You don't want the kinds with the bleach or harsh degreasers.
