Whats' good today, is declared toxic tomorrow. Why don't we have inspections and specifications? Why do we blame other countries for our stupidity? Toxic USA Spinach killed 28 kids last year, China toys none. Toxic USA Broccoli cost the live of 8 US kids and crippled 34 for life last year, Chinese toys none. The USA spread over 20 years 100,000 of super toxic DDT around, killing and crippling millions, where is the outrage?

Yes, bought all the kids toxic toys in Sept, in case the government put a ban on their import, also got the mother-in-law some lead paint, got a really good deal on that.

NO wa my wife and I are going out of our way to make sure any and all presents we buy from now on are not made in China. The global market that has evolved with outsourcing has created this debacle and we as consumers are the only ones with the power to affect a change. BOYCOT CHINESE PRODUCTS!! For patriotism and most importantly the safety of our youth.

The toy industry has a swack of toys of their warehouses that they have been given to sell off and could attempt to sell right here. optimistically it gets via without being all inspected. As for slave hard artwork, that is no longer that, it is they gets a commission a pittance in assessment to the quantity of the salary earner right here. So Mattell inventory is going up in fee which makes inventory holders satisfied.

Actually, for the most part, companies in the west market these toys to our children under their own logo and brands. So, companies like Mattel can't test imports for toxins...what a joke!

I'm just going to tell the toy store I want unleaded toys.
It'll be like visiting a gas station and buying gas.

No. But my mom may have. She bought my stepson some Bionicles. I don't know if they were on the recall list or not.
I'm buying the kids a video game and clothes.
