Im 36 wks 4 days and my baby doesnt really kick anymore she just squirms and wiggles (i guess you could say lol) because their is no more room obviously.. The only thing is sometimes all she has to do is barely move her body from one side to the other (or whatever she is doing) and it hurts really bad!! Is that normal? Sometimes it hurts in my butt and lower back, sometimes it just makes me uncomfortable.. Anybody know why?

My son was so big, that when he kicked and moved around he would leave bruises on the out side of my tummy. At 6 years old he is still that rough! HA. It sounds like you are just experiencing the uncomfortableness that is the third trimester. It is pretty common for everything to be a bit painful. If it is so painful (say a 6 or higher on a scale from 1-10) talk to your OB or midwife. Good luck in a few more weeks you will be able to see those little kicks in person!!!

YEAH, doesn't it hurt. It feels like someone is trying to bust through your stomach. With my second baby it hurt really bad. She kept moving from one side to the other than even if she just moved a foot it hurt all around. But it is completely normal. The butt and lower back pain is because of all of her weight and your water. Just like you said, " theres no more room. " It can get really painful but it will be all over soon and you will have two rewards. A beautiful baby and your body back all to your self. So be patient you will need it later on. hehhehe

While I was pregnant, I was miserable. The odd pain in your back/butt ect are because your little bundle is taking up space, pushing on your back in the process. Plus, your balance is off due to the baby. All these things can cause muscle soreness. I would say to check with your doctor, but what you described sounds the same as what I had. I was able to take tylenol, and I used a sock filled with dry rice, heated in the microwave for 1 minute. I used to sit with that thing on my back and WOW! What a difference! Good Luck! Congrats!

Not Long left now and it will all be over and you'll have a lovely baby.

Could just be like you said that there is no more room but the pains you mention in your bottom sound like what i had and when mentioned to the doctor he said it's just the pressure of baby on the nerves at the bottom of your back as again...there is so little room.

Hope it all goes well.

I am 33 weeks and my boy moved so big it hurt me the other day. I dont have daily pains like that though. My tummy raised about 3-4 inches in the middle towards my sturnum. I cried out it hurt so bad. But, it was just one movement. I am not sure what ur feeling, but I think I would definately have it checked out since its more than just occasionally. My muscles get sore when he moves alot, but not anything more than I can handle. I think u need to have it checked out just in case. Good luck to u and congrats.

The baby is probably sitting on your siatic nerve. Near the end the baby will be up in your rib cage. I used to gently push the baby down out of my ribs when it got so bad I couldn't sleep. I even new someone who got a broken rib from their unborn baby. All the pain you go through is sooo worth it. Good Luck. It will be all over soon.

It is pretty normal. She is out of room and when she moves she is running into your organs and nerves. Ouch for momma. My first baby kicked my kidney repeatedly until she actually bruised it. Talk about killer pain.

Best of luck!!!

Its totally normal. She's probably laying on your sciatic nerve, which runs right where you're describing the pain.

Its not fun, but its only another month.

Go swimming, it helps A LOT.

why? its because like you said there is no more room in there. she is trying to get comfy just like you, only there isnt a way. so she will push your insides to where she wants them, unfortunatly its where you dont want them. Good luck and congrats!! hang in there it wont be long now!
