"If" is just a defeatist way to avoid whats happened.
You can never change an "if" as its in the past.
Its better to ask why or how and then learn.

We, as humans, always wonder "what if" regardless of what decisions we have made in any given situation.
We always wonder what would have happened if we turned a different corner on that day so long ago? Or if instead of doing this we would have done the other, what would the outcome have been?
I know that I always wonder how my life would of turned out if I had listened to my mother and not married my husband? I know I would not have my son, whom I love dearly. And chances are I would have been a bitter old woman, mad at the world just because.

we should learn from our mistakes;
And it should be obvious that in a complex world we cannot
all make these learning mistakes all the time; So the mistakes must be divided into severe ones and non
severe ones.
Other people have their priorities-they may be afraid to
make even simple mistakes.(And i make no apologies
for the examlpe such that people take pills and shots,eg
the flu shot, without trying to boost their immunity naturally).

It's human nature, but it's futile. Best to pull yourself up by the bootstraps and try again. That's life. A series of (sometimes not such pleasant) lessons. Hopefully we learn from our mistakes.

Do you mean: Every time something goes wrong, the wrong comes alive. Did we do this, or didn't we?
...umm...not quite sure of what you're asking...but if the above is what you mean, then yes and no...wrongs always have correlations with other things...it's not just one person's or group of persons'.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing - use the things that go wrong as indications of never to do it again!

We are not fully present if we look at "What IS" and start "thinking", It should be like this or It should not be like this. This is how the mind causes us misery! What IS , is always just "What IS, and woulda, coulda, shoulda, never change "What IS"!!!!

No regrets.
Things that happen to us help shape who we are as a person.
Good or bad, out of or within our control.
It is character building.
