Stories like this are usually supressed by the media. If more stories like these are shown, the Democrats will have a tough time spinning that the war is going badlly.

Liberals, in general do not all feel the same way or have the same views as each other. Liberalism is not a religion or a mindset, anymore than consevativism is. If there is anything to be upset about, it is that the Iraqi government which was freely elected, has not been given an opportunity to do any governing so far. This is due primarily to the G.W, Bush form of manifest destiny that keeps our troops and our dollars flowing to a nation that could stand on its' own if allowed.

It's not bad. What is bad is just leaving them while they are ill-prepared to defend themselves and allow another country to fill the void remaining. It is also Bad because the US Military will wind up Back in Iraq for a third fricken time with ten times the resistance. Complete the Mission

Of course they're upset! For a long time now, liberals have been saying things like:

"Iraq is a failure!"

"Our troops are dying for nothing!"

"We need to pull out now!"

"Our troops are dying for oil!"

Blah... blah... blah... ad nauseam. They have never once acknowledged the successes in this war, and they cannot do so.

Don't forget that the democrats have based their entire campaign on the premise that we were stuck in a quagmire in Iraq. We CAN'T have success there, because if we do, it blows their enitre defeatest rhetoric apart and shows them for the frauds they are.

Meanwhile, those of us who look at this thing with eyes that aren't blinded by a hatred of George Bush can celebrate with the Iraqi people and congratulate our troops on a job well-done.

True, there is more work to do, but progress is being made, and the liberals are fuming.

Lets just let it play out, and see where it goes. If works out to be positive, great! I just want to get worked up and then get disappointed . That kinda news would cause a feeding frenzy of liberal "doubting Thomases"

I thought they were trying to establish a democracy? Government take overs of religious buildings seems more fascist than democratic. But then again fascism is what the Bush administration is all about anyway.

Absolutely. They will only be happy if we lose. They have been whining all this time, and we are now actually on the brink of serious success. What will the left say then?

I am a liberal against this war
and I hope that our troops are SUCESSFUL

I do not believe for one minute that a lull in the deaths of American soldiers is evidence of our "winning" a war we should have never been in .

HA! Just because fewer American's have died doesn't mean that Iraq is working....it just means that the iraqis are a bad shot

just as viet nam waqs an illegal war so is iraq. congress never
declared war in either.
this was is about religion. they have been fighting for thousands of years, america will have to leave iraq someday, when we do utter chaos, much more than we have now.
we left viet nam and look what happened. we were ther for
years and lost over 50,000 lives and the french were there
before us for 10 years. its not about liberals being upset about any aspect of the war, we just can,nt win it.
