My eyes are kinda like the before of this:

Is there any way of getting the "after" look, with makeup?

The color yellow cancels out the color purple .
Try a yellow based concealer under your makeup---go easy or you will have an "owl" look .
Also try drinking more water , hollow eyes are sometimes a sign of dehydration .

Try using a yellow concealer under your eyes. Look into NYC yellow pencil, which is not more than a couple of dollars. It does wonders for making your eyes look awake and young-

Yellowish concealer. I use the one from LAminerals, then I put mineral foundation over my whole face. It blends it beautifully and no more hollow dark circles!

definitely drink more water, eat less salt.
start with a base of a liquid to powder concealer, [I use dream matte mousse-it works very well]. then, cover with a true liquid concealer, and finish with a bronzing powder or your favorite blush.
