my furnace fuel pump has been replaced just yesterday, and there is disgusting smoke coming out of the blower that attaches to the furnace. it's burning , you can hear the firing go on, but the smoke doesn't make sense. anyone out there who knows furnaces?

CALL THE REPAIRMAN BACK TO CHECK YOUR HEATER AGAIN. SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT...

Sometimes this happens when the furnace gets a tune up and the filter gets changed and all that. When you initially turn it on, it will smoke, but only temporarily.
If it is prologed, you need to contact the company to take another look at it-no charge. Make sure they don't bill you for another service call.

Smoke comming out of something that shouldn't be producing smoke in the first place is NOT a good thing. I would shut it down and call a qualified tecnician. Especially since it could ignite and start a bad fire.
