can you give me the site to install win 98 and win.2000 because I don't have the CD rom.

I can't help you with W2K, it's still supported by Microsoft.

But, talk to friends and family. I'll bet someone has a W98SE CD sitting in a box somewhere (with the CD Key), that will probably be a freebie.

TIP: After installation, do all Windows Updates. The last time I installed it, there were 7 critical updates.

If you can find it, it has everything Microsoft removed from Windows Updates previously.

You can copy the Win98 files over a Windows network with a network client for DOS copied on a bootable floppy.

copy the Win98 folder from the CD to your hard drive and run it
from there. In addition to speeding up the install process a bit this
can also help in some cases where users have had problems
installing directly from CD.During the upgrade you will be prompted to create a Windows 98 Startup Disk. I strongly suggest doing so, so have a blank 3.5" floppy diskette handy.

When the Win98 setup completes and the PC is restarted Add New Hardware will detect all your installed hardware and install drivers for all items. Win98 comes with a very extensive driver collection and it should have drivers for all industry standard componants, but just in case have the driver disks/CDs handy for any hardware you have added

It's not easy (or legal) to download windows 98SE or windows 2000 nowadays being as they are so old and at least Windows 98 is not supported by Microsoft anymore.

I would suggest finding someone you know with the copy as its going to be a whole lot easier, otherwise you might want to check various bit torrent sites.
