I usually send mine out about the first week of December.

Here in the USA it will cost a small fortune in postage this year if you mail out many of them.

Bev, I have made many starts at answering a simple question.
I should just move on. Not a time of year I am looking forward to. Sorry, I want to & I'll be ok. My Mother always went all out for the holidays & had good reason to dread them. The older I get, the more I understand my precious Mother. ~~~~
I will send personal cards to my children. Email greetings to email friends & do a lot of calling on the phone, both local & long distance. Send out Blessings to all for a joyfull Christ filled Christmas. I will be in church a lot to get the real feeling of Christmas. I'm not alone in my feelings. Blessings to you. ~

when I was a kid there were 4 of use at the large diningroom table...one went thru the lists, did the corrections/additions, another decided which kind of card and did the signatures, another licked the envelopes and put on the stickers and the last one put on the stamps and put them in piles....yes, we did thousands.

Last year I sent 25 by mail....some went before Dec 10 and others went as a response to those received. But this year I'll probably just send out a handfull, if that.

Two years ago I sent a lot of Christmas cards to people thru email (card websites) and got a lot back. Last year I sent a lot and received only a few back. I did realize that it must be the overseas "providers" that are stopping our emails now. So you don't know if the relatives received them or not. It's not fun thinking some family member ignored you, and then to find out it's only the dumb isp's that aren't sending the mail.

I mailed 40 8 enjoying cards this year. i do no longer in many cases acquire as many as I deliver. lots of folk use digital mail enjoying cards, yet i actually like gazing my wall fill up with diverse enjoying cards that i'm getting interior the mail. maximum of persons are out of touch with those that advise plenty to us in the event that they're a ways away, so a trip card is a little greater very own.

It would normally cost me a fortune from Europe to the U.S: Luckily this year I'm going home for Thanksgiving so I'll mail them out in the U.S. as soon as I can before departure, Dec 10th. Lots cheaper than sending them overseas...

Usually the day after Thanksgiving....but I believe I will be running late this year....and I am thinking of trimming the card list due to the price of stamps....$50+ just on mailing cards is a bit much in my opinion.
Peace.
