Are those my maximum effective options? in the event that they're, i might have have been given to vote for Governor Palin. with any luck, the GOP can convince Governor Mitch Daniels of Indiana to run. He gained re-election in his state whilst it went for President Obama in 2008. that for the period of itself is an accomplishment, and that i've got enjoyed listening to him talk on the couple of cases I even have had the privilege.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you are tired of the tunnelvision on Wall Street, anti-compassion, and big spending government, then I would suggest Mike Huckabee. He is a conservative who believes in our education system, protecting our environment, and using preventative care, rather than hillary care. He does think we need to become energy independent, but would like to open ANWR for drilling.

Lately, other campaigns have been calling him pro-illegal and pro-tax, which is completely false. He thinks the border fence is first priority, and he believes a government closest to the people is best for the people. He also supports the Fair tax which would get rid of the National IRS and would make tax time a breeze.

Check him out rather than listen to the spin.

EDIT: Jessicaisbeautiful, you are a typical Ron Paul supporter. You bash every other candidate and then say that Ron Paul is God. Ron Paul is nothing but an isolationist that has unrealistic goals. Furthermore, he is a Libertarian trying to act like a Republican. He even ran for President a few terms ago on the Libertarian ticket. Ron Paul is not the answer for the Republican party, nor the country.

AGAIN, don't listen to the SPIN coming from other campaigns.

There aren't very many.. I would suggest that you look into Ron Paul.. The republican party has traditionally always been the less government/anti-war party.. but overtime it seems that it has lost it's way.. Luckily Paul is running to restore the party and this country back to the way the founding fathers had intended.. Paul is one of the few presidential candidates providing any real clarity on our foreign policy and domestic issues.. Unlike other candidates whose stances seem to change from week to week, Paul's record is actually consistent. He is a strong advocate of a non-interventionist foreign policy where we trade and negotiate with countries,.. instead of fighting wars under false pretenses where we put our economy in financial risk and the lives of our troops in jeopardy.. To find out more about his positions on other issues, please see the list I posted below. In addition to Paul's strong anti-war/less government stance, he accepts no money from lobbyists, corporations and interest groups.. He is man of integrity.. which is rarity in Washington.. Paul offers real solutions, instead of just typical political rhetoric.. He truly has the best interest at heart for the average American, not just the elite..

A brief overview of his record:
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He is a strong advocate of free trade.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He opposes invading Iran.
He opposes amnesty for illegals.
He will drastically reduce the debt the United States is in, by reducing government spending.. taking the burden off taxpayers.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Thank you for the question!

EDIT: sorry but Huckabee is seriously flawed as a candidate.. AND THE CLAIMS AGAINST HIM ARE NOT FALSE.. He'd go to war with Iran, without the consent of Congress.. the guy can't even adhere to the Constitution, not to mention he wants to grant AMNESTY to every illegal immigrant (recieved an F rating on immigration), raise taxes, invest social security into Wall Street and sink the United States economy into more debt.. He's a better option then Giuliani, but he really isn't much different

If you don't recognize Ron Paul as a great Republican, you need to research what a Republican is supposed to look like

Mike Huckabee is awsome.

Social conservitive and fiscaly responsible. He wants to abolish income taxes and replace them with a federal sales tax. This makes everyone pay the same (including criminals like drug dealers) with no need for any collection agency or enforcement. Check him out.
