It's true. When love works it can be the most wonderful thing. But how often does it really work? For me, the chemistry is rarely right. If I like someone, they either don't like me or they just want "a bit of fun, nothing serious" (hate that stupid phrase!), and the people who like me are always the guys I see as friends and am not attracted to in a romantic sense. Why oh why can't it just work out. Just to rub it in, one of my friends - who always used to say she didn't want a boyfriend and it was a waste of time - is never without a date and hasn't not had a boyfriend for more than a few days for over 2 years now.

certainly those kinds of things have happened in my life. I've also had times when the person who loved me I didn't care for, and at least once when I thought I was in love, met a stranger who I thought might become someone I could love, decided that I couldn't live without the one I loved at the time... life is messy because there are people in it.
Another reason is because people sometimes mistake lust, physical attraction, "like", etc. for love, then are surprised when person a's idea for love is different than person b...

Yes, I can't and I won't tell you that you're wrong cause you aren't.
It would have been great if everyone fall in love mutually, but unfortunately we don't. More often than never, the person we fall in love with could never see us more than a friend, or is with someone else.

Yeah, sucks huh? Get used to it though. It's endless. Nobody is ever happy enough because they always think that the grass is greener on the other side. Trust me, the 'other side' is just as bad, if not worse!! The sooner everybody else realizes this, the better off we will all be.

I agree that love could hurt because one person always loves more than the other. It causes broken hearts and sadness lots of times.

Cause when you finally love the right one, you will be prob even happier than asmuch as youve hurt in the past. Dont worry, life balances its self out. Give it some time.
