I currently have a compaq d51c computer with a Pentium 4 2.0ghz processor and i want to know what is the maxium available processor that will work in this, I have tried a 3.0ghz HT P4 but it didn't seem to work, any queiries please share thanks a lot =D

If you can physically fit the faster processor in the socket on your motherboard then try updating the BIOS.

I don't know anything about Compaq, but the world's best processor is the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650

Go online and search for your board it will give you the specification for it and what processors are available for it.
