Buy a blank book (you can get it at a crafts store). Fill the pages with the story of how the two of you met and became so close. Add in it the reasons that she is such a great friends and draw corny pictures of you and her in it (or even paste real pics in it). Make the title of it a nick name that you have for her. My BFF would think that was the coolest thing ever.

Friendship has a very deep meaning.It doesnt mean talking and listening to the other person but it is something which can be felt and needs to be taken care of..........
But,if u want something materialistic,then go for something which you do urself.......like write a poem,make a collage etc etc.......

i would say try something hand made it shows you put alot of effort in it and took time over it, possibly decorate a photo frame and put a pic of u both in it! a true present comes from the heart and means more than going into a shop buying it from a shlef and wrapping it!
try and go for something she has intrest in like clothes or fave colours that kind of thing!

Something that didn't necessarily cost a lot, but something from the heart, which took time to put together.... it could even be a weekend away for the two of you, a locket with a pic of the two of you, a photo session with her.... just think outside the box!

Is she feeling down or isolated, have lots of things on her mind
or...
Is she outgoing, very cheerful, have everyhting you could possible imagine getting her?
If shes been feeling down lately treat her to a manicure or massage, go with her and then go out for lunch or something. or just give her a voucher from a salon.
If shes chappy and active maybe and can take a joke buy her a sex toy for a laugh. honestly its the though that counts

A nice framed pic of you and her maybe!? necklace or bracelet with a nice engravement.. or.. one of those best friend necklaces where you have half each!

Something reminds u of each other ...mayb a picture of you two in a happy or funny faces ...put it a silver frame and curve ur both names in it .... its internal....which will make her smile whenever she looks at it ....
