Think about. The Earth was so clean before we started dealing with gas powered cars and power plants. in the cavemen era, there was no power source...everything was natural.
if possible [like straight out of a fiction movie] we could inhabit another planet and live off of that. idk. I was just randoming thinking, and this question popped in my head.

i don't think we can live without the earth,
we would run out of our natural resources like food e.t.c.
if we were to settle permanently on another world, we would need to provide an Eco system to support even our basic needs in the long term, like oxygen water and food, in a self supporting environment like the earth.
as for your other question, well i think yes!, the earth would survive without humans as wee are top of the food and resources chain , no other species depends on us as wee depend on them, same as for the earth, it depends only on the sun and the oceans and all things natural to create and support life.

Yes, mere humans can affect the atmosphere. Years ago, the gasoline contained lead as an additive to provide lubrication for the valves. It was discovered that babies had high levels of lead in their blood. As soon as lead was removed from gasoline, the levels of lead in the atmosphere dropped. Then there was the issue of CFL's causing a deterioration of the ozone layer.When the CFL's were removed, the ozone began to recover. In Pittsburgh Pa., coal was used to make steel. The smoke from the smelters was so bad, that it killed people, and sometimes, even at noon, it was pitch black outside ! The ash blanketed the entire city. So yes, humans CAN affect the climate ! If you had a large globe of the Earth, the varnish on the globe would be the same thickness as the atmosphere is on the Earth. It's just like a soap bubble covering the surface. It's very thin,and fragile. We are on a tiny wet rock, spinning through space. Let's not screw it up !

The earth has been around for billions of years now. All planet die. Our best bet right now is Mars. It can sustain life, however the surface is cover in rust.
People think that were are hurting the planet when the fact of matter is the planet has only been livable for the past 100 million years or so. Is it right? No, but the human race is a mere formality as far as the planets concerned.

Think about it. The earth was so relatively clean before we humans ever existed. What makes you think earth couldn't survive without *us* again? We humans, on the other hand, cannot survive without the earth, unless you know of some other planet with a similar atmosphere.

no we can't live without the earth, because the earth has all the water we need and all the food and on the other planets there is no "life" besides tiny microscopic bacteria that live on some of the plants....but there would b no food or water is what it gets down to

i think both can be, as the earth can survive without inhabitants.
on the other hand people can find a planet with similar atmosphere like earth and live on it .

well, the earth wudnt b soo beautiful as it is now without humans... with too much forstests, it wud be a scarry place.. like all messed up inside.. like too crowded.. the landscape not as perfect as now.. humans make the earth look so amazin with all his creations..and also humans cant live without the earth for he gets everything from it.. its both benefitial.. but just tht sometimes humans go over limits thts wen the earth gets mad and cause earthquaks and everything..
