I personally feel Kimi would get to keep his title but what type of punishment would they hand to BMW and Williams?

You're right Val. Bernie did some good things for the sport but like all things he's way beyond his expiration date...

Forget about sport here, and think politics. Bernie is basically a politician, and like all of them he twists words around like a pretzel. He has to do so in the name of money. Laws apparently get re-written in the name of money within the F1 circus. He once was Lewis's most adamant fan. Why? Because he brought a lot of money with him with his unexpected brilliant beginning of his career. Now he has to play the Ferrari's fan because F1 without the support of Ferrari and its fans would be broke. What will happen tomorrow? If we follow what has happened this year, the logic tells us that Kimi will maintain the title. BMW and Williams will be penalized as teams (with fines and/or loss of points), but the drivers will maintain their positions and points. Same as they treated McLaren in the spy scandal. Just a reversal of positions. This would be logic. Is this sport logic? I am seroiusly starting to doubt its integrity and fairiness, though.

I think it's more likely that Kimi gets to keep his title. It has been said that even if Williams and BMW are penalized, it is not necessary to reclassify Lewis.

That's weird. Bernie was the Lewis fan and now he's 'became' a Kimi-rooter? Something not quite right. Not surprising though, because the FIA are always bias and unfair. Now they are also good at twisting their words and changing the story.

I think it's best if Bernie really does quit. He's good at managing the sport but he can be really bias at times. I find that unacceptable. The FIA are supposed to be fair; that's what makes a good leader/manager of the sport.

Anyhow, I hope that Kimi gets to keep his title. If not, that's just so..... UNFAIR!!!!!!

I was actually surprised by this comment of his coz, i thought he was a Lewis supporter. But he is right, Kimi deserves the title and it shouldn't be taken away from him. It would be bad for the sport.

One more thing that Bernoe said was right that was.. BMW & Williams violated regulations.. so did McLaren with their tyres.. so i'm guessing nothing would happen. Besides, this happened before.. I thinkt o Schumi.. but at the time, the pts were first taken away.. but then given back. Only constructor points were taken becoz honestly, the driver just drives the car the team gives him.

Lol. And to think Bernie wanted Lewis to win. It just shows that it is only Ron Dennis who is "power hungry" and he's the only one who wants Lewis to win the title no matter how or what they do. Even Bernie wants to retire.

Obviously though, it isn't because Bernie "wants" Kimi to remain as winner. Remember, he said he hopes the champion would "speak more". It is because it is damaging to the sport. If the sport is going to finish the 2007 season like that, Bernie realizes it is better for him to retire than be known as a head of a tainted race sport.

They should be fined and maybe a loss of constructors points for that race. A broken rule is a broken rule. I don't think they will take the championship from Kimi, that would be so wrong. Lewis doesn't want it like that. I just wish Bernie would quit anyway.

I guess I'm confused. I thought Bernie had said in the past that Lewis and FA should have had their driver points thrown out as well but understood that the immunity made that impossible. I've always felt he was pro-Ferrari and not so musch a supporter of Lewis, but more of a supporter for the media interest surrounding him. These comments seem to me to be in line with what he's always said.

Bernie can't be trusted. One moment he says he wants Lewis to win and that he'll quit if Lewis doesn't, then now he says if Kimi's title is taken away, he'll quit. Fork tongue. The FIA all cannot be trusted! I think Lewis has a good chance of winning the title since most of the FIA are rooting for him (looks that way) but he should rightfully get to keep it, else us Kimi fans (tifosi) should protest!

As much as I don't want Lewis to win the championship that way, it would be good to see Bernie quit. But he was saying that with tongue firmly in cheek. Bernie is like the queen and will never quit, he likes the power too much.

As for the outcome - well it's not over until the little midget sings

that's because of fact bernie IS an @ss. he has expressed his LOVE for Hamilton because of fact the initiating of the season. i know Bernie would not like Raikkonen as champion because of fact Kimi would not have a "character" for him. whilst Kimi would not communicate plenty off-music, many have seen him communicate on-music, making him greater likeable. i admire those varieties of persons. movements talk louder than words. Bernie, keep your mouth close. you will by no ability see a champion practically as good as Kimi. Hamilton? he will by no ability be practically as good as Kimi till he continues to be remote from McLaren and rejects particular remedies from all and sundry.

Punishing BMW doesn't equate to Kimi losing his title.

You see, when the cars are disqualified, the car behind doesn't automatically gets promoted. Usually they won't.

So if they actually promote Lewis up, that will be a very wrong move to make. Whatever they do, they cannot promote lewis up the grid.

Afterall when mclaren team was disqualified, BMW team didn't get promoted up with all the extra points. Nobody get the points McLaren lose.
