Dropped means the head is engaged in the pelvis and is no longer floating, which by default means the baby is in a head-down position.

It usually means the babies head is engaged. Because once that happens the baby drops down an your bump looks lower. If this isnt your first baby the head could have been engaged an then come up again as pelvis isnt as tight as it was in your first pregnancy. x

there is no longer probably something you're able to do to make your toddler have interaction interior the pelvis. She's head down, that's the main substantial element. no longer being engaged does not impact your opportunities for a vaginal delivery, they does no longer even evaluate a c-area for this. A c-area would in basic terms be achieved specifically circumstances and it somewhat isn't one in all them, so do no longer complication! My son became head down at 34 weeks and that i went into labour at 39+5 weeks (39 weeks and 5 days). once I went into labour his head replaced into nonetheless loose, he did no longer have interaction in my pelvis till i replaced into 6cms dilated (my waters did no longer even destroy the two, the midwife had to pop them for me while i replaced into 10cms and in a position to push!). I had a classic vaginal delivery. no rely if or no longer the top is engaged won't impact your labour, it is commonplace for toddler to work together throughout the time of labour itself. superb of luck!

It means both. When the baby is engaged in your pelvis the head is down.

The thing that usually lets pregnant women know the the head has sunk into the pelvis, is the relief she feels in her upper abdomen! They find they are able to actually eat a whole meal, and dont get so 'full' with eating :)
The sinking puts pressure on the bladder........ LOL........ yep......... you get to eat, but also pee 100 fold!

it means the baby has dropped right down into the pelvic frame, and will stay this way until birth now.
