A mental integration of two or more units possessing the same distinguishing characteristics with their particular measurements omitted.

For example, chair. As a child you see your first chair and to you is is The Chair - the only one that exists as far as you know. You do not have a concept of chair. Later, you see lots of chairs. They all have a distinguishing characteristic: place to sit. They come in all colors and materials, but to form the concept 'chair' you have to omit these 'measurements'.

Now, when someone says 'chair' you conceptually grasp the concept of, not one chair, but all chairs that have, do and will exist ...conceptually. Next, you learn the concept of furniture and much later concepts like justice.

This is what animals can't do. They can't think conceptually. Consider what life would be like for us if we couldn't form concepts.

It's the idea or vision of something, not the thing itself.

Imagine a tool that would enable you to interface with thousands of useful tools in a similar way, and linked to a network where you could collaborate synchronously or asynchronously with literally millions of other people. What a concept!

Now look at the computer in front of you. Concept executed.

IN THE DICTIONARY IT SAYS IT IS THE IDEA OF SOMETHING IMPOSSIBLE.....GOD SOMETIMES INTRODUCES ACTS OF CONCEPTS IN THAT PLACE INBETWEEN WAKEFULLNESS AND SLEEP I'VE NOTICED. THEY FEEL VERY STRANGE TO BE HUMAN AND BE INSIDE OF THEM....CONCEPTS ARE HARD TO DESCRIBE IN WORDS BUT THEY SEEM TO BE MORE OF A PERSUADED UNDERTONE OF A DREAMLIKE STATE AND ACTUALLY FEEL AS THOUGH I'M IN A DIFFERENT DIMENSION OF EXISTANCE.
CONCEPTS ARE THE VERY SUBSTANCE OF A HIGHER LEVEL OF THINKING.
