Hello every one out here..i have a question which is concerning me lot for the past two days..here it is..i have a girlfriend and she was never sexually active before..(no sex no self stimulation of the genitals) not at all..but very recently we talked to each other about self stimulation and she did it for the very first time..she stimulated the clitoris with out stopping and it took her to reach till orgasm in 55 to 60 minutes one whole hour..the thing which concerns me and also i am anxious to know is that is it normal for females to go that long stimulating to climax for the first time..any female with experience related to it or any knowledgeable person or a sexologist kindly give me an appropriate answer for my question.also tell how often it should be done.with the health keeping in mind.Thanking in advance.

Well first time is likely to take a while. She will get better/shorter with practice.
Keep in mind that with guys - we are visual and tactical. Girls are more emotional.
I have sometimes spent 20-40 minutes working my wife up to get her to an orgasm. Some days she is feeling so good/happy/interested, it takes 3-5 minutes.
It's less about how long she spends touching herself and more about her emotional state when she starts.
Also - womens sexual response sometimes reach a 'plateau'. Things feel good, better, better - then things kind of stall. Stopping the stimulation, relaxing, talking, is sometimes necessary for a few minutes.

there really is no need to be concerned about how long it takes her to have an orgasm, there really is no such thing as normal. if it really was her first time masturbating, which i find hard to believe lol, then she has taken a very big step in getting to know herself. the atmosphere plays a big role also, if she feels very comfortable and has little stress on her mind, she will orgasm easier.
As for how often...whenever she feels like it. the more a girl orgasms, the stronger they get. its a muscle that has to be worked out. just dont give her any pressure, let her find out on her own what feels good to her...the more experience she has with herself the more she will enjoy it.

It takes different people different amounts of time, regardless of first time or not.
why don't you try stimulating it for her and see if it happens any quicker.
It could have been that she felt slightly uncomfortable doing it infront of you which would be a reason for why it took so long.
Women generally take longer to reach orgasm than men so you have to give her extra attention in order for her to climax.

Im a sex therapist, it shouldnt take that long. there could be many reasons why it took so long. We are all different.It does usually take longer the first time however. I masturbate about 5 times a day , but its more usual for a woman to masturbate 2-3 times a week. If you have any other questions perhaps you could E mail me
