this should help.
Yahoo games, mail, and messenger, have conflicts with sun java. Rather then trying to work around them. Here is the easy and fastest way to cure them. These simple setting changes will fix most of the problems caused by java updates. While you need java for most yahoo sites, you do not need sun java’s virtual machine to launch them.
You can set default here! ... click start / settings / control panel
Now open the add / remove programs folder
Click on set program access and defaults
Choose Microsoft's Virtual Machine java ... NOT... Sun java
