I don't think they need to, everything is cheap and half the price as it is hear anyway

We have sales at all times of the year. The biggest sales day is after Thanksgiving, it's called black friday. But I never dared to go shopping on that day, everyone acts all insane and will run you over just to get a board game for their kid.

The day after Thanksgiving is actually a traditional shopping day for most people, and the day after Christmas is the largest day to exchange the presents you didn't like. But not so much shopping around New Year.

Most stores have major clearance specials around mid-January. Wal-mart for example gets a new stock list and delete many items often for 60% off. This is a great time to buy.
