We all heard about spygate, and how the Patriots were penalized with a fine and a draft pick, what i would like to know if it includes also the 1st round pick, that they obtained from the SF 49ers, in a trade, this off-season, when the Niners obtained their 22nd pick of this yr's draft.

-if u think about it, the Niners are having a bad season, and they might get a top 10 pick again. If the Patriots get that pick, who knows how much better the Patriots will get, if they are able to get that pick.

This is perhaps the stupidest penalty ever handed down. And here I thought the NFL was supposed to so strict nowadays. So the Patriots lose a low first round pick. Big deal. They already have the most talent in the league. Plus they get to keep SF's 1st round pick. I guess its ok to cheat (for years) after all. Their entire legacy is tainted. How sad is that? I feel bad for the entire Patriot organization and especially their fans. When the Patriots lose this year, I hope its in the playoffs. But like others have also said, I do hope the 49ers play well too. But in the end, how much more will a good draft pick help an already amazing team? More than they deserve.

When a player is caught cheating, they are suspended for a year, right? Well, the Patriots were caught cheating on more than one occasion. They are repeat offenders. Suspend them for a year, at least in the draft.

Send a message. Take away all of their draft picks. Every one.

They get penalized their 1st round draft pick. Their pick from SF is safe. God, I hope the niners win out.

All we need is the Patriots to get another gift from another team. Just like the gifts they received from Oakland and Philly.

to answer question,,, no they lost thier own 1st rounder, not any they get thru trades.

Personally I think it was a dumb penalty. As has been mentioned, pro-portional punishment. How about taking the green dot off of Brady's helmet (along with the radio inside it).
Electronics used to cheat, lose legal electronics for the season, ,, that would have affected the season and been fitting,, the draft pick and fine are slaps on the right and left wrist

STARMARK, maybe if you got some of facts straight about the PATS cheating then you'd actually make a point but instead show your ignorance.

I wish everyone would stop complaining about this cheating issue. It sounds like no one would be happy unless Belechick had to face a firing squad or was hanged on Thanksgiving. The punishment fit the crime now move on.

GUNS 1965, I say put a red dot on your forehead and pull the trigger.

Just because you all hate the PATS doesn't mean squat. That just fires them up even more. So keep hating and they'll keep winning and you'll cry in your soup come SUper Bowl.

the patriots own pick (which looks to be in the very late 20's or 30's) is forfited. the pick from the 49ers which looks to be a top 10 pick is the patriots pick unless they trade the rights to it.

They will get a top 5 pick and use it to pick up a back that will make this team unbelievable.

And it was Bellicheck and a couple of his cronies that cheated. There's no proof that any of the players were involved or the Kraft family. Next time you get caught reporting your income taxes a little low I hope they come in and take EVERYTHING that you own. That'll teach you.................

.................proportional punishment?

idiot

Vontae Davis because of the fact he's he maximum gifted participant on the board. i know there's an incredible style of questions approximately his character, yet he's only too good to bypass up and expresses a substantial want for the Pats.
