Everyone has their own fashion sense...and if your look is working for YOU...I suggest you rock it and not give a flying F about what Haters have to say. Honestly, there are a lot of 80's looks that are still in. (leg warmers, tights, waist belts, ankle booties and baloon dresses are still in fashion) you just have to do it all in moderation, instead of wearing them all together, make one piece (like an awesome one-of-a-kind belt or pair of shoes you have) the "FOCAL POINT"of your outfit. Then build up your out fit around it with complementary items - like your shirt/jeans/accesories. I have a BIG feeling that you'll fall in LOVE with the items on http://www.urbanoutfitters.com - You might like some of the looks that are "IN" right now - and for that I'd suggest looking at sites like http://www.OKmagazine.com or http://www.starmagazine.com - it'll show and "break down" celebrity outfits and "IN" looks from week to week. I say be yourself - unique style is always complemented more, AND more comfortable than something everyone else is wearing...or some outfit you see everyday - stay an individual!!!!!!! Good Luck!

Does this style suit you? If it really enhances your figure and looks, why change? Too many youngsters are followers and they really shouldn't bother! All those hipsters and UGG boots - yuck! I've never followed fashion, it's just social manipulation. So I'm afraid I can't tell you what the latest is. I don't know what your build or colouring is but a well-cut jacket sets everything off well. I like the tunics (pinafore-type things) around though and most girls can get away with them. I think Shirley K's right in that it's very regional. But even so, go for accessories which are a little quirky and make the look your own. Drag your friends around the shops one weekend, try lots of things on and have fun!

Its more about what you feel comfortable than what you look like! If you like wearing styles from the 80's then do so! Be unqiune, you dont always have to follow the lastest trends to 'fit' in. If we all followed the lastest trends that were set by celebs then everyone would be harming there health with fad diets, booze, fags and drugs! But to answer your question buy the lastest fashion magazines...some arnt to expensive and can easily be found down the local shops. They will give you style ideas, tips, and so you what matches/go toghether sort of thing. Hoped i helped a bit. :)

I think I fall in the same category :-( --- I do browse through some fashion sites and magazines -- but no help, I feel the latest fashion is either too bold or weired, Anyways so long as I feel comfortable in my clothes i would not bother much for fashion.

Invest in a copy of Cosmopolitan! Another good thing to do is sit yourself somewhere with a coffee and people watch (try not to look creepy lol!) to see what other people your age and shape are wearing. That's normally the best way...Then trip to Primark to experiment with clothes that don't cost a fortune!! 80s clothes do kinda rock though. I wear my leg warmers all the time!!!! Remember though to keep some individuality! You don't want to look like a clone!!! I have my trademark 'Pat Butcher' earrings. Everyone else hates 'em but I think they rock! Have fun! I do this every season lol.

A lot of people are wearing baby doll these days...you can try that if you want to. Remember! dont ever wear dress with your sneakers together. Or tennis shoes or whatever like that...it's just doesn't make sense.!!

the 80's/retro look is VERY in right now, look around, prices for styles like these have rocketed recently,
you have nothing to worry about
you are so out of fashion that you are back in fashion!!

I have friends that help me with this. Seriously, only your friends know what's popular where you live. And don't be embarrassed to ask. People with talent usually love to be recognized and are willing to share a little. Your friends truly want to enjoy looking at you and being proud of you, so they will be glad to help a little.
