This is an excellent config mate...I thought u would have had more RAM though...2GB DDR2 or so...but for the gaming, I think the 256 MB GeForce video card compensates...This one would definitely do the job!

I agree with Fiona. The computer that your link takes you to will NOT be suitable for playing the games that you indicate. On-board graphics just aren't enough to 'cut it' when playing up-to-date games.

You should look for a computer with a separate graphics card, and preferably 2GB RAM or more.

One other thing that I noticed was that there are no speakers included with the package, so you'd obviously need to purchase those separately.

The package does come with Microsoft Works, so you'd be able to type. This is not the same word processor as Microsoft Word though ... it's sort of like the 'little brother'. Having said that, you could download OpenOffice which is a free Office Suite, compatible with Microsoft Office documents. That can be downloaded at the site below.

For the price it is ok but if you wish to play high definition games you will probably need a much better graphics card and you will also probably need to increase the available memory 1Gb is not so much when running a very large OS such as Vista.

Also, I wouldn't, personally, buy anything from PC World but that is purely a personal choice.

The PC model that you referred to includes the XP Home operating system. You need to buy software - Microsoft Office to do word processing using Word.

You can play games and access the internet ( email )
with this PC configuration.

Advise : Do not buy a CRT monitor - get a LCD ( flat screen ) monitor with high resolution.

Email/internet and basic typing can be done on almost any PC. What youll need for gaming is two things. A good graphics card and more memory RAM. I would upgrade that PC with more RAM... could be as low as 20USD for 1gb to 100+USD for 1gb. You can get a good graphics card for 150-300USD. Remember not to overload your PC with useless programs or ADware or SPYware. Do this and you'll be fine. My PC has 4gb of ram from and a this video card.

No. This is not enough for you to do this all. You need to change more things in this PC. RAM 2GB or More. Graphics Card 512 or More. And so on. The more you have the Best Performance you got.
Regards.
Fiona.

Uhh?

Yeah - 'just about' being the operative word. If you want a gaming PC that is going to play games without limping along, then get a gaming PC. They cost more, but if you want to play properly, you have to pay!

It looks like a really decent PC but that price doesnt include a monitor.

Yeah, just about. If you want to play games at high resolutions get a graphics card for it, as I suspect it has onboard graphics.
