Like they couldn't already attempt this previously. The states have had this appropriate element on the books for the reason that previously your grandpa's buckskin rubber failed and created your mama. All this does is strengthen it to the feds. If the police don't like the way your hair is combed, they could detain you, make a record on you and difficulty you until eventually it really is determined that you at the prompt are not as a lot as something. That has been a reality for the reason that Sir Robert Peel positioned the whole damn element mutually. by some ability, I have lengthy gone 40 2 years with out ever having been tossed interior the decrease back of a police motor vehicle for "suspicion" of something, yet that is because i understand a thanks to shop my nostril sparkling by ability of no longer being curious about any sh!t, that is what keeps me from being the position sh!t is going down. If i'm able to do it, so can all and assorted else.

No, what goes on in Iraq does not really effect us. The government borrowers the money to pay for it , so our taxes haven't even gone up. The military is all volunteer, so there is no draft, and most people probably don't even know anyone who has served there. About 2/3 of the people do not approve of what is happening, but it is an abstract disapproval, with little passion behind it.
London feels more like a police state to me because of all the security, but here the only real security you encounter is when you fly, and around or going into government buildings.

The USA has a lot less freedoms than a lot of European countries, but this is mainly due to the patriot act that bush forced through. Most of the extra freedoms in Europe aren't obvious, Freedom of information, data protection (the American government is allowed to view any information it likes on anyone except Europeans without there permission), etc. Most Western countries have everyday freedoms that are very similar.
Most American don't travel outside America, only 35% hold a passport compared to 90% of Europeans, and the few who do travel abroad tend to go to Canada, Mexico or the caribbean. This doesn't help get a good grasp of the rest of the world and other cultures and helps keep the American is the Best myth alive.
If you removed the patriot act and it's associated acts, added public health care and other benifits of living in the EU, both America and Europe would be very similar and the only difference between living in either would be sports, languages and money.

It's funny listening to europeans talk about america being a police state.
American law enforcement has less power and authority than they do in any european country.
Things europeans take for granted, would cause a civil war in america.
Europeans spy on thier citizens, cameras on all the streets.
Europeans put people in prison, just what what they say.
Oh, but you have universial health care, so everything is great.

The US is not a police state. Our government is focused on foreign affairs. What happens inside our borders goes largely ignored by our elected officials.

Yes, friend, we are living in a police state.
We are 'free' to cheer for the football team of our choice, but we are not 'free' to have our tax money used for pro-human purposes. Our government is at war with most of its own people.
There is no war on terror -- That is a scam to keep people in line.

You need to get out of your basement more often. It's dark down there, isn't it? You've proven your point that "you don't have no idea about it."
