I had to slam on the brakes, and now it seems like the power brake component is out or something. Little resistance when pushed. The brake light is on too. It is a 1997 grand prix. I checked my wheels after i drove it, and only one in the front and one in the back were working because you could tell the ones that work were hot and the others were completely cold.

Look at the ground under your car and see if there are traces of oil or brake fluid, this will show you the approximate area where the leak is coming from. Then if you are capable you can fix it,it looks as if you are losing brake fluid from a leak. if your car breaks down you can always get home by bus or taxi, but if your brakes fail you could end up going home in a box, so whatever you do get them fixed because it will be cheaper in the long run. If you are stopped with defective brakes you WILL be fined for driving a car with defective brakes & worst case scenario, you could kill some poor innocent person or even yourself.

initially, why did you waste you money on used calipers from a JUNK backyard no a lot less?!? Secondly, why did you get the motor vehicle inspected? at the same time as the hot proprietor receives the motor vehicle and receives it registered, he has 10 days to get it inspected. Your inspection does no longer carry over to the subsequent proprietor. you do not favor to bleed the strains by ability of eliminating the line from the caliper. you may bleed them from the hydraulic installation it extremely is on the caliper. definite that's termed a zirc installation. perchance you ought to attempt bleeding it from the draw close cylinder. If that would not artwork, flow to the factors shop get some new or re-man made calipers and produce it to purchase and enable them difficulty about getting it to end. Then tell the guy that changed into going to purchase the motor vehicle that your cost in basic terms went up by ability of $500. Take it or go away it. there'll continually be yet another sucker, I recommend shopper. Oh yeah, and btw, for sure it feels positive at the same time as the motor vehicle is close off. the potential booster isn't functioning at the same time as there is not any potential going to it. meaning you've a difficult pedal until eventually you turn the motor vehicle on.

Slave cylinder leaks usually are apparent on the insides
of the tire walls.
The fluid is going somewhere or is being bypassed around
a faulty seal on a piston in the master cylinder.
I would have all the brakes closely inspected before making a determination by a qualified mech.

Check your brake fluid. Sounds like it needs a refill and then to be bled.

It is possible you could have a leaking master cylinder or brake line. Get it checked out. This is dangerous.
