if you get hair on your chest will you lose the hair on your head

nope you can have hair in both places. It is though likely the more you get on your chest in the early years the more likely you will have less on your head as you get older. It is though not an absolute. Besides i think there is little you are going to do to change what is nature and genetics.

I have hair both locations. I never lost any hair on my head when my chest became hairy.

I believe there are some common factors but nothing absolute. I think it is DHT that causes hair loss but could also stimulate body hair growth. One thing for sure is that genetics are involved.

no it does indicate you will, hair loss is a maternally linked trait. This means your mom carries the gene responsible for your hair loss pattern. Under normal health conditions, if you want to know if you will bald or have hair, look at your mom's father (granpa on mom's side)
