I have to know! My wife says I should not use "her" towel. I feel if I get a 'clean' towel from the cabinet, it should be up for grabs. She tells me if I were paying attention, I would know the 'peach' colored towels were not for my use?????? I say if it's clean, and in the 'clean' cabinet, I am not wrong to use it.

It's because she's a woman...her peach towels are for her as she doesn't want you getting mud or oil or grease on them cuz she won't be able to get the stains out.Plus you probably drop your towels on the floor when you're done...another no no.

If she is terribly territorial about "her" towels she should move them to a separate location/pile in the cabinet. I think that is only courteous when expecting someone to use a certain set of towels, to only provide said towels, not an option. I think you are reasonable to expect all towels in the clean cabinet to be up for use at that time.

Sounds like your wife is feeling a little threatened about her boundaries. Of course, it could be that you get hair (or other unpleasant things) in the towel that don't wash out well. Or maybe she has a certain number of towels so that she knows when she has to do laundry.
You might try asking her reasons (in a polite but curious way) so you can better understand her stance.

LOL its a lady thing... i prefer certain towels and have my bf use the other ones.. but since you can actually get your own towel and not expect her to get it for you.. if only more men in the world were capable

I think you both have problems whichgo further than the towels. The classic answer to your problem is to advise you to talk about it with your wife and find a common solution. Who knows, this migth even help.

It's usually known a hygiene but some people are really sensitive when it comes to personal towels.. And color coding is a big deal to them..

Your wife is very selfish.. I mean who cares its just a towel.. I would recommend you shower in the other restroom, that's if you want to keep your marriage.. Label your towels and tell her she cant use yours, see if she likes it.. COUNSELING!!!

control freak! unless she has some sort of medical condition that sharing towels would cause the spread of whatever it is. It's a freaking towel! Why not have it embroidered 'his' and 'hers'?!

chicks are crazy. Just buy your own towel and use it. Theres no rational solution to something like that. Then you can yell at her if she uses yours.
ps. buy an ugly towel.
