no, there isn't one here. i was thinking of moving to a certain place, and checked, and virtually every house there was part of an association. no way i'm moving there. uh,uh.

NOPE, WOULD NOT EVEN CONSIDER MOVING INTO A NEIGHBORHOOD WITH ONE, NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF DEAL I GOT ON A HOUSE.

Yes. Yeah, they have some ordinances like that. I agree. It's dumb. The neighborhood isn't that attractive, so they are not nit-picky about house or garage door colors... but you can't have a carport roof that is falling apart... hmm, I need to do something about mine... or unruly bushes... gotta do something about that, too... and Christmas lights have to be down by a certain date. I'm on top of that one. I don't even put lights up.

No not in our town, I think i someone brought it up they would be laughed out of town.
We do have some town rules but it has to do with fire hazards and/or weed control since we are a farming town. A couple people had to put fences around there junkie yards. I swear some of these people have more dead cars in there yards then blades of grass.....

Yes, and I think it keeps my neighborhood nice. I'm sure there are some ridiculus rules, but they aren't enforced like crazy. Only parking is enforced. Police come out to enforce the rules for the community on the same day.

No, thank goodness and no mello-roos either. My husband and I are slightly too lazy and too rebellious for a homeowner's association. My husband would spend his days plotting how to irritate the h.o.a.
