my specs is AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5200+ / 2.6 GHz , n got a 300w Power Supply

do i need a new power supply ? n will i need a new case or more fans?? plz help me thank you

OF COURSE you need a bigger power supply with strong +12V rails (25 amps at least). 8800GT draws almost 10 amps from +12V rail. Processor circuit could be drawing about 6 to 8 amps from the +12V rail.
You may have to improve case ventilation significantly because that 110W of heat from the 8800GT will be dissipated inside the PC case.

You cant harm your pc by running the card with the low power supply. Its not rated for the card but you may get away with it.

Similarly, just be sensitive to hangs or crashes. If the system overheats you'll soon know about it.

Either phenomenon indicates you need to upgrade the psu. You should be ok for cooling as long as u r not overclocking.

You might need a higher wattage PS add up the wattage of all your components CPU HDD Optical Drives MB Graphic Card Fans etc. This info can be found on the manufacturers website. Get a PS that exceeds the total. 550W or more should do like this one, and make sure you get one that supports PCI Express:
