Ghosts? I'm interested in hearing about your paranormal experiences...?

have any of you experienced a paranormal event? I'm specifically interested in appliances and electronic devices that you believe have been influenced by a ghost or other paranormal factor.

I've never had a paranormal experience with electronic devices but i would awake every night to see my extra pillow floating in the air above my bed! that sounds wack, and i would've left it to my imagination if it happened once twice or even three times but it happened almost every night!
I would also see people standing in my room next to my bed or on my sisters bed.
I've had many experiences. but that was a while ago.

The reason they say electrical appliances are affected by entities is because an entity puts off a great deal of energy when it's near which causes malfunctions in lights, fire alarms, appliances, whatever. I'm a skeptic. We have had some strange things going on in our home. We bought the house brand new 9 years ago in a upscale area. Like I said I was/am a non believer and still somewhat am. I want to believe there is a logical explanation for these things but it's getting harder. I have been in contact with someone who basically is a "paranormal investigator" Found him through my best friend. She's known him her entire life so I do trust him. I'm learning alot now and although I'm still not a complete believer, I am fascinated.

We have a ghost in our house who likes to move things around on us (i.e. we'll leave something on the dining room table but then find it on the dryer in the bathroom hours or days later), but he doesn't mess with appliances/electronics much anymore. He used to like to turn the TV on at random times, but stopped once we started ignoring it. There seems to be zones in the house that cell phones don't work, but we're not sure if it's b/c him or b/c it's just cell phones being themselves.

I lived in Athens, OH (one of the top 10 most haunted places in the country) for a few years, and we had plenty of ghosts there. They'd mess w/ lights, tv's, radios, pretty much anything. Like I had my own room in a the dorms, and know I left my tv and iPod dock station turned off when I left for class, but when I came back, both were on. Or I'd plug my iPod in to charge but when I came back for it the battery was actually lower then when I left. Nothing major, but still...

My grandfather died a few months back and is now keeping my grandmother company. Before she got a new car he used to make the clock flicker. A clock that didn't work at all would all of a sudden flash on and show the right time.

Many years ago, I worked the night shift at a large company. At this company, people claimed to see the ghost of a security guard from time to time. He had died 20 years earlier. One of the electricians had gone upstairs to the offices to replace fuses one night. With only a small torch for light, he came across the security guard and collapsed. He was off work for a week and told that he would be excused from ever going into the offices again after dark.

I drove a small electric tractor and was asked if I would go to a very large part of the factory to collect a trailer of special paper. This part was now only used for storage. I used the push button to lift the big electric door. As it was very windy, I closed the door behind me. All I had for light was the light from a very old single headlight on my tractor. I drove halfway into the building. It was around 2 in the morning. It was deathly silent and completely black in there, due to there being no windows. I was looking at four trailers and trying to read their paperwork but having a bad time doing so. Along the opposite wall, there were 12x5' pallets down the full length of the building. They were all filled with about 2' of paper each and stood about 15' high. Behind stacks like this, a space of about 3' has to be left, so people can walk between the wall and stack to see any paperwork. It is also for the sake of the wall. Heavy pallets being banged against it, can cause damage. As I was struggling to read paperwork with my single lamp, I heard whistling, footsteps, and keys jangling in time with the tune. It was someone walking along the back of the pallets. He was only about fifteen feet from me at the most. It was obviously the security guy on his rounds. I waited until he was level with me, then said "Can you tell me where the switches are for the lights please" Suddenly, it all stopped and was deathly quiet again. I smiled to myself as I thought I gave him a fright. I asked again but still no answer. I was also wondering why I couldn't see his torch light. I wondered why he was just standing there without answering me. I walked over to the pallets to ask why the ignorance. When I got there, I realised, the person that stacked the pallets had wrongly stacked them hard up against the wall. Nobody could have been there. It was as if, only the sound of the security guard was coming through to our reality, but not the image or light from his torch. That made me wonder about timelines. He may have been alive and well but doing his rounds over 20 years earlier. It may have even been daytime for him, and the pallets may have been stacked properly then. Just a hunch.

When i was little I was a black shadow standing at the side of my bed, i gasped as it started walking up the side of my bed and it ran away. And also a hand came down to pull the blankets off my head when i was little too, it wasn't any of my parents most part because it was glowing lol.
Also After my grandfather passed away I started seeing people I thought i know (living) in the corner of my eye, only they werent there at the time, I could tell you their clothes and everything but I'd just feel weird about it and look in the other rooms, then run out of the house as pale as hell people say lol.
Ive seen a light dancing around as i sang and when i stopped it dissapeared.
and lets see what else Ive heard a "hello" with a dutch accent.
Had sterios turn on and off, vcr rewinding or playing.
And often I go to talk to who I think is standing behind me only to find they arent at all.

Creepy yup... but everyone says its just my imagination.

my most common experiences are ussually contacting or meeting a person in their right time of need .giving intuitive advice to people about a future event that came true .or even catching a bus or train right away as if it was given to me on a platter .its like i own a limited amount of personal power for my own beneficial use .so if i catch the bus fast i feel like " i willed it to happen" and therefore i am using my personal power from my "bank" however if i save a life or help a sick man in the hospital then i feel like i am adding personal power back in my "bank"
i believe in the motto that if you put your hand to close to the fire you will get burnt.
if you really want to get first hand experience of strange happenings you got to go to the happenings and not expect the happenings to come to you .john keel the author of the mothman prophecies experienced strange occurrences only because he went there himself otherwise i doubt he would have had any paranormal experiences on that subject matter.

ok...i'll tell you a story...

this happened when i was 10 yrs old...

it was a gloomy night at the time of 11:00. i'm doing my project and suddenly i heard a noise outside of my house. I heard two people taliking outside. i don't understand what there talking about. i think it was my father. but when i look up to my window, i was shocked because i saw 2 mysterious creatures not a human!. their height was 2 feet only. and the most scary thing is, they looked up to me; smiling. I ran to my sister and tell her what i see. so she looked up in the window but now it was gone...

i replaced into in a room with 3 individuals of my kinfolk and there have been a pair of footwear on the floor one went into the air and got here backpedal any incorrect way around.i did no longer have self belief till I see that as clean as day.

I have never experienced anything that required a paranormal or supernatural explanation.

Why would spirits mess with electric equipment or appliances? What do you suppose they are trying to accomplish? What would make them capable of doing this?

Which makes more sense, that spirits are consciously messing with appliances and equipment, or that you are experiencing mechanical/electric failures and glitches with perfectly natural explanations? Unless of course your toaster is engaging you in conversations.
