very interesting question,

on the overall, I look forward to the rewards of death , not the actual dying. Nervous somewhat about something i've never done before, but i know i have a home in heaven & wont hurt anymore or have any more sickness.

& i fear more someone close to me dying. I dont want to be left alone, selfish , huh? I just dont want to be alone. it's been my ultimate fear so much that i said, if i marry, i'll marry someone younger than me, so i d id , now i'm insecure, cause i am older than he is!

but we're okay, been together 26 yrs, november 3rd.

I used to fear death... until my mom passed away... Now i can honestly say I dont fear it...why spend your life worrying about the inevitable? We are all going to die sometime... why not enjoy life instead of worrying about death... i think if you fear death in a way you are fearing life because you arent living yours to its potential. I would for sure say that i fear someone close to me dying more than myself dying. Only because i had to deal with someone so close to me passing away(my mom) right after my 20th birthday. Once i pass i wont be grieving, i wont have pain. But when someone close to me dies I will have to deal with pain and missing them.

I fear death mostly because I don't want my children to lose their mother. And I fear someone close to me dying more than myself dying. Something bad happening to someone else is completely out of my control.

I fear death...because I fear the actual dying process, and the unknown. Then I'm scared because I use to think that once you died, you could rest, but it seems like when I study the near death experiences, I've got to go thru a whole new process..........But more than this, I fear my daughter's death.

No I don't fear death. As I know if I die I would be with my loving heavenly FATHER, I would fear for the death of my close relative more but there is a real consolation for all of us that one day we will see them face to face again

I should say I fear to suffer more before dying, and obviously I fear more if someone closes to me dies. My grandparents, which I loved are already dead. I suffered more 6 years ago with my grandma's death.

I'm not really afraid death itself...I'm more afraid of HOW I will die and how big of an impact it will leave on my friends and family.

I do fear someone close to me dying more though. I'd probably never get over it if parent, family member, or close friend died.

Fear of death is not something that bothers me often. I used to worry about it a lot but my religious faith has helped tremendously. I have, however, been in dangerous situations when I was afraid i would die. I would rather die first than have someone close to me die.

I am afraid to die.. I guess because I wont be able to see my loved ones anymore.. and I guess the idea of my son and husband crying for me when I am gone... I would rather die than anyone I am close die first.*****What happens when we're dead? The irony is that all our questions will be answered after we die. We spend our whole life trying to figure out the truth and the only way we'll find out what it is, is to get hit by a bus. And the only comfort that religion offers is that God is driving that bus

I don't fear death...I have a terminal illness so I have had to reckon with God and get it all straight now. I would fear someone close to me dying that was not reckoned with God about it...and their fear would cause me to feel fearful for them.
