i need to reformat hewlett packard pavilion, but im wondering if i need a authenticity code of some sort. i have the recovery discs but i dont know if i need anything else other than the discs.
please help if you know what you are talking about

no you dont need no code all you do is put the disc in the computer and restart it once you do that you should see in your screen press any key to booto from cd and thats all the recovery disc is going to give you instructions in how to do it if you have any more questions you can visit there website and chat to one of there agents for free just look for contact hp in the left side of the page and youll be chating to the hp agent who im sure can help you with this question and any other that you might have heres the link

just the discs and the key should be on a sticker on the back.
choose NTFS when asked. FAT32 is outdated and slow.
good luck with your 1st reformat!

The discs should be enough, there should be a sticker on your case that should have all the authentication codes you would need.

Ozzy fat32 is used by linux and mac And I use it it....I've used ntfs and have NOT noticed any change in speed. Come up with another excuse.
