I am often asked, " Are you using 'MY' towels?" As I see it, the things are in a cabinet that is in a bathroom I pay the rent on! I didn't know there was a difference between the towels in the cabinet! Have I missed something here?

Are you using the towels for bathing purposes or are you cleaning the rusty trailer hitch on your truck? It makes a difference, ya know. I've been married for 27 years and we each have our favorite towels. Hubby likes the big, fluffy, expensive towels and I like the thinner, easier to handle, cheap towels......so maybe you ARE using her towels.

Did this partner of yours bring in these towels from their own place, before getting married to you? Or from "that" family?
Or did the two of you get them as a wedding gift, or buy them together?
I don't know what state you reside in, but in some states, there are community property laws, that say that when you are married, what you have, you share.
Just please make sure that when the towels are on the towel rack, put "his" on one side of the rack, and "hers" on the other side, left and right sides. If they are clean in the cabinet, they should be available to whomever needs the next towel. Plain and simple.
Take care.

I think if you are in a rental situation, & someone else is also, they probly own the towels & would not like anyone else to use there towel, that,s totaly acceptable. Mabey you should invest in your own towels, would solve the MY "towels" situation. Happy toweling.

If you live with a few other people in I think you would want to have your own towel. Maybe everyone should keep there towels in their own room.

He doesn't know where his towel is? He is not a hoopy frood.

Seriously, if he's that anal about it he needs help - or a pack of name tapes. I take it he washes and dries "his" towels and puts them away?

somebody's mummy didn't smack him enough if he can't learn to share! LOL! Suggest you baggsy the kettle and the biscuit tin (and contents) and see how long he keeps it up.

am also amazed it's taken 15 yrs of marriage and (presumably) sharing sheets and swopping bodily fluids for this to matter to him.

~sounds like u need to come to some agreement with your room mates as to what is community, and what is yours/versus theirs. this type of question, indicates to me, that they do not appreciate u using their towels. meaning, u should have your own personal, and leave theirs alone. good luck getting clarification on that. it may be kind of hostile.
