I've been extremely vulnerable for two months, but I've felt the most vulnerable mmmmm like a month ago. I even had to call a friend.

Yesterday.
My boss had me by my manhood after I forgot to show up for work when I was scheduled for overtime (I was told a month ago & it just totally slipped my mind).
The policy at my office said I was to be fired -- no exceptions. My boss was going to have a meeting with her boss yesterday and try to negotiate an exception.
I have a baby son at home, and my wife is going to school & doesn't work. We would've been homeless by (or shortly after) Christmas.
Instead, my boss decided to keep it a secret & she put her butt on the line by not telling her boss. I'm still kinda working there on borrowed time.
