This movie is probably from the late 60's maybe 68 or 69..All I can remember is the ending...I remember there was a girl in an attic and she was chained and had stringy hair...I'd like to find out the name of this movie and see if it's available for sale anywhere..I know I don't have alot of info but any help would be appreciated...

Could it be "The Shuttered Room" (1968)? It also could be "Die! Die, My Darling" (1965) aka "Fanatic".

It's been a long time since I've seen the first one, but I think it has to do with someone kept in an attic. I can't seem to find a full summary for it. I know it's based on an H.P. Lovecraft story, but I remember that it wasn't too accurate.

Here's the IMDB summary for the second one:
The spoiled Patricia Carroll arrives in London to get married with her fiancé Alan Glentower. However, the stubborn Pat decides to pay a visit in the country to Mrs. Trefoile, the mother of her former fiancé Stephen, who died in a car accident. Once there, the religious fanatic Mrs. Trefoile insists to Pat to stay overnight to go to the mass on the next morning. After going to the church, the naive Pat tells Mrs. Trefoile that she was not going to marry Stephen, triggering her insanity. Mrs. Trefoile abducts Pat to purify her sins and make her pure for her beloved son.

Stefanie Powers does get rather ragged-looking into the movie. She's wounded, her clothes torn, and quite mussed. I don't know if she matches your image though.

You stressed that this is in an attic, but another film that has a scene with a stringy-haired woman kept in a room is "The Dunwich Horror", but that was released in 1970.
IMDB summary:
Dr. Henry Armitage, Sandra Dee and another girl who wasn't in the book visit the library of the Miskatonic University where they are studying, and find a mysterious young man named Wilbur Whateley trying to borrow the Necronomicon (to non-HPL fans : a book containing ancient rites to bring alien gods to our planet), and as it is a public library they let him. Sandra Dee offers to drive the moustachioed warlock back to his home in Dunwich, where he drugs her and makes her stay to be a part in his evil ceremonies.

I'll see if I can come up with any other suggestions. If you come up with more details it would be helpful of course since the scene you recall is a bit vague. I'm thinking of a couple of other films that might have such a scene, but I'll have to do a bit of research.

I believe it is the The Shuttered Room. I remember that movie also, and often wondered what the name of it was. I have done a bunch of research and found a small movie clip on youtube and this is the movie I was trying to find.
