Hi I am not making a point. I was riding my bicycle on the sidewalk & there was also 5 white guys walking on the sidewalk. A police car stop me. Then the 2 police offiers they arroach me ask me question where I was from,were I live & ask me if I was a immigrant??? First I thoght they were looking for a person but, I was wrong. I told them who I was & I even show them my ID. I CAN'T belive they ask me if I was a immigrant. I told them that I am Spanish American. Then they let me go.
I don't understand why & why me instead of those 5 white guys? Last week, when I was on my way home from work, I got stop buy cops again. I got stop is because I did not have a horn or ring bell on my bicycle? I think it was full BS & they told me that they have to check my record & backpack & my pockets to see if I had drugs???
Why this **** happens to me? Now, I am scare to go out & I pray to God that nothing happens to me. I just talk to my family friend for help & get me a lawyer just in case.

It is always good to have a lawyer. It is also good to know your rights if they detain you for any reason. Your innocence unfortunately is not enough to protect you.
Even when you know you have done nothing wrong.....demand to see your lawyer anyway. They have to stop questioning you until your lawyer gets there.
If the cops tell you "You have the RIGHT...to remain silent"...your best bet is to do just that. Wait for your attorney and say NOTHING....no matter what the cops say to you. WAIT. The cops can and DO lie to try to get information. That is why you remain silent until your attorney gets there...ok?

My ex and that i (he's Thai) went to three hick city in Southern Illinois to %. a motorbike up that he offered off e-bay, and we stopped on the interior reach wal-mart to %. up tie-downs. properly, we get into the shop and we word that we are being stared at. It became into the two each and every of the tat's we've or that we are a bi-racial couple or that he became into Thai, despite it became into, human beings have been HAWK EYING us! It became into very strange. anyhow, we purchase the tie-downs and are heading out the shop while the shop cop stopped us and asked to examine our bags. We enable him. He then needed to seek us! I instructed him that he won't placed his palms on me and that if he needs me to be seek he can get arrest us and get me a woman officer. properly, he did no longer like that. So he took my ex in the lower back and had him STRIP searched! How f'd up is that? shall we no longer have faith it. right here we are, minding our very own business enterprise and this cop is jerking us around for no obvious reason. Ridiculous. anyhow, we crammed a grievance, no longer something has incredibly got here approximately, circulate determine.

Well first, what part of Spain are you from? Or at least what part is your family from? Second. There are rules of the road for bicycles as well as cars. Do you know of these rules? Do you practice these rules? Third, if they contact you they can run your id. The backpack and pockets are negligable it depends on the situation. Which is skewed because it is entirely from your perspective. Lastly, if you are scared, then don't go out, or move to a place where you are not scared.

It is not a racial issue. The cops had reasonable suspicion that you were breaking the law and the right to engage you in conversation. If in fact you violated the bicycle code, they could have arrested you.
It is bs, I know, but do not think it is a racial issue. Cops are equal opportunity jerks.

its illegal in most places to ride a bike on the sidewalk but not to walk,no matter that they were white and you arent..as for the cops,thats not racism,thats doing their job
