maybe you have got a distribution that does not include the graphic interface (forensic, router, firewall and some other simple, dedicated distributions are less "user friendly" from this p.o.v.), but you can always go to XWindow site and download the suitable instalation for your machine.

later edit: another contributor friend said: "Linux 5.0 does not exist. Right now the latest version is 2.6.23.1." I'm sorry to disappoint you, but there might be a 5.0 Linux somewhere. (older Red Hat, for instance...). You're confonding distribution with kernel version!

hmm not sure what you mean by linux 5.0.

Best bet for installing linux is to get ubuntu. It's probably the most newbie friendly distribution out there.

Linux 5.0 does not exist. Right now the latest version is 2.6.23.1.
