My degree (business - finance and accounting) does not interest me very much...I procrastinate the assignments till the last minute, however, I do the work just to get the grades...It's not exciting and I hate reading about business...But I am doing well with grades and such, and I know I will be able to get a good and stable, high paying job (and I know it's a job that I won't HATE going to in the morning) should I keep at it? I LOVE psychology, it's something that I can read about for days...but I'm afraid of the job market after I graduate (even from grad school) What should I do? It's like my brain tells me to go business...but my heart wants to be in psychology...and please no "do what your heart tells you" answers...

I think you should keep at it, for at least a few years. Once your on a high paying wage, you may decide if thats what you REALLY want to do and are happy with. Don't shut it away, as you may like your pay and your lifestyle. If you keep at it for about 3 years and find it a bore, you may have enough money saved up to return to unversity and study psychology

Can you easily switch to another area of business if you wanted to? Both management (organizational behavior) and marketing (consumer behavior) deal heavily with psychology, but in a business setting. I got into studying marketing precisely because I liked figuring out the needs of my customers when I was working in restaurants, but I never cared much about the financial side of business.

Continue your studies as you are getting good grades and it will fetch you a good pay. Money buys all comforts. If you continue aching to enhance your knowledge in psychology you can buy books and read when you are free.

I suggest you see a psychologist. That way you can get help with your problem and more into the field that interests you.

Hope this helps.
