a packet of chips and ate the whole bag and it tasted funny i looked at the bottom and there is mice **** and a hole at the bottom so i hant the fastest soulution and i have used snap traps and i have no rat poison on the count i have animals help me

Bait the snap traps with peanut butter. Mice love it and they can't steal it.
Consider using poison - this is the best solution. But in your case, you'd have to put it in a place that your pets cannot possibly get to. In a locked cabinet, or under the fridge, depending on the pet.

You have already adopted the right strategy... that is the mice trap or mice glue. Dont use any rat poison as you dont want a dead rat or mouse in your house in a place where you cant found it.
Use more than one mice trap with different baits! Also try mice glue... it is available in tube and apply the glue on flat plank with the bait in the middle. Plus dont leave any left over's in the house which the mouse can eat instead of the bait.

Home Depot sells a plastic trap that the mouse crawls in and it closes so that the mouse can't get out. Then you can have your father take the trap outside somewhere, (far away!) and let it go. Don't put rat poison out, as we wouldn't want your birds to accidentally eat it. When you find mouse droppings, don't touch them with your hands. You should pick them up with a paper towel and clean the area with windex.

Eat them there really tasty, for fist timers i would suggest eating them with mayo.
