Thomas Jefferson called the men that attended the Constitutional Convention 'demigods.' Do you agree or disagree with this statement? And yes, i am writing a paper similar for school, but no, i will not take anyones ideas from here and claim them for my own. I am just doing this to find out what average people think on this subject.

Those men designed the best example of a workable Republic yet seen. They had amazing foresight, and managed to draft a Constitiution overcoming their own prejudices and biases to give an equal opportunity to all citizens under the law.
Those men were attempting to give to this country that which they could not have in their own homeland.
ALL of us owe everything this country is, and stands for, to those men. (The current administration withstanding...)
I will defer to Mr. Jefferson. He knew those men, and as all of them are some of my heroes; and, as Mr. Jeferson is chief among them; I will take his word for it.

(I am unfamiliar with this statement or remark.... I wonder if perhaps, irritated with the inevitable bickering that was taking place, the remark was a somewhat sarcastic one? Either way, I think he called it...) }:>

Thanks! This is a great question!
