Don't think you really can. To be any part of a "God like state" implies you have to have some sort of control. As a Christian, i'm taught I was made in God's image, given rules by which to try and follow for my own good, but I have no power over my soul. I can't designate when or where I will die, or thrive, or know any part of my future for certain. I can only guess.
The only power anyone has, is whether or not to believe. In that simple decision, you determine where you will spend your eternity.

This might sound a bit crazy, but what if God is actually water. Bruce Lee may have been on the right track when he said, "Just be water, my friend". We are predominantly water. In times when we are doing things in the moment and flowing with the water in ourselves, maybe that is flowing with God, and flowing in the God like state. I cannot give you a definitive way of how to do it, it is something we each need to find in ourselves, but if we are all mostly water then surely God is in all of us. Thus everybody can do it. Just a theory, I cannot prove it, it is a way the individual must find in themselves.

the only way to tap in to God is to tap in to yourself. if you did not exist, neither does God. state is a state of mind.

Tell me which state do you live in, and I'll send you the state government's webpage. Not sure what you mean by, "god-like." If the states were "god-like," they'd be more merciful and forgiving...
