We, as a country, have become so preoccupied with NOT offending others that we've created groups and such that do just that: Offend Others. It doesn't matter what color a person's skin is, there is someone or some group out there that hates you just for your skin color.

Why our country would legalize these kinds of groups baffles the mind, but again, in wanting to be a country of acceptance and tolerance, we've actually fueled the hate.

I'm not sure there is an easy solution for this one either.

Because it goes with the theory that the minute you limit speech, you're sinking to their level. Free speech is a wonderful thing, it promotes good ideas and a general satisfaction with life that living in censorship can never achieve. The KKK is despicable, but if you take away their right to speak then you're justifying their cause to them and walking over a very, very fine line between good intentions and bad outcomes. Everyone has a right to their opinion, though we can, do and should punish people based on their actions.
It's reverse psychology. You tell someone not to do something, and they'll only do it more just to get a rise out of you, or as proof that because you reacted then they must be doing something 'good'. If you let them have their parades and preach their hate and just ignore everything they have to say, they'll be far more invisible than if you tried to stamp them out.

examine Revelation; you will see that devil seems and tries to create a counterfeit to the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Spirit) with the intention to fool the people. The KKK is devil's way of attempting to dupe us and get us to hate our brothers by using skill of faulty persons he's already fooled. This has been his approach because of the fact the temptation of our first father and mom. The "christian" symbols the Klan makes use of are a sham. those are actually not any further Christian than Osama Bin encumbered's crescent moon. and that they spew forth the same hatred from their mouths. specific, Christians (to boot as Muslims and others) have been to blame for lynchings and burnings on the stake; those strikes have been the end results of severe prejudice against "infidels" and heretics and have been faulty at maximum suitable. this is only greater of devil's impact on our sinful souls, a real Christian immediately might abhor such strikes and attitudes and take care of his brothers in Adam with love and dignity.

Yep, hate their guts and think they are the most stupidest people on the earth but the great and free north america allows freedom of speech for everyone. It's illegal to hate monger in Canada but free speech is also allowed. If they pulled that stunt in another country like Russia i'm sure they would be smoked but countries like that don't tolerate too much freedom either. So yeah we're lucky but then we also have to put up with nonsense from groups like that. Okay i'm very tired and not making a hell of a lot of sense lol.

It's part of the free speech. It's ok to have such organizations as long as they behave properly. Start acting like bunch of animals and cavemen like they have in the past, it'll immediately be abolished.

Well even the KKK has the right to freedom of speech. That's their first amendment rights but they don't have the right to bully, harass, or cause harm to anyone. If I'm not mistaken the FBI usually keeps close tabs on organizations like this.

They can exist under free speech, as long as they don't hurt anyone or incite violence with their hate speech. Then they can be prosecuted under the law.

I know, I don't like it either....

I watched a documentary that showed videos of a KKK rally, and guess who was there defending their right to free speech? Black, white, latino, and jewish cops, all doing their civic duty and standing guard over this hate rally. It just made me want to slap the KKK member's faces even more!

Because....part of the government is involved with the KKK.

Someone said they can't hurt us because it is illegal...*ahem*...well, that's not exactly true seeing as to how still today KKK members are still burning crosses in people's yards in some southern small towns, lynchings still occur, and it takes years and years before the clansmen are even convicted of a crime they committed.

They have a right to freedom of speech as Americans. Its sad that FOS also can count for spreading or advocating hate, but that is what it is. Most normal people hate them so there is not really a problem.

Ahh, freedom of speech. What a lovely thing. Sorry, I grew up in a town full of the KKK and I hated everyone of them. I see no need for organizations like them and detest all hate groups, thats not what our country is susposed to stand for.
